Alhambra Hospital Medical Center makes '100 Great Community Hospitals' list

Alhambra Hospital Medical Center was named on the 2019 list of 100 Great Community Hospitals released by Becker's Healthcare, a leading source of business and legal information for health care industry leaders.

This marks the fourth consecutive time that Alhambra Hospital Medical Center has been named to the list by the publisher, which includes Becker's Hospital Review and other publications.

Becker's "100 great community hospitals 2019" list includes independent community hospitals as well as facilities affiliated with large health systems. Some hospitals serve expansive rural geographies, while others care for small communities outside of large cities. The hospitals continue to grow in many communities, opening new departments and sites to improve access to care.

Many of the hospitals have been recognized for their clinical quality, operational excellence and economic influence on the surrounding areas. For this list, Becker's defines a community hospital as a facility with no more than 550 beds.

Alhambra Hospital Medical Center's clinical excellence has been recognized nationally by, Truven Health Analytics 2016 Top 100 Hospitals and most recently, Leapfrog Grade "A" for Patient Safety for Fall, 2018 and Spring, 2019. .
